Check your eligibility with the SNAP Calculator!

Welcome to Project Bread's free and confidential online SNAP Calculator! Answer the questions that follow to find out if you can get SNAP/food stamps.

Find out if you are eligible

It is COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL because you will not give us your name, address, or any information that tells us who you are.

This calculator has five simple steps. Answer questions about:

  1. The people in your house
  2. Your assets
  3. Your gross monthly income
  4. Your household expenses
  5. Learn how much you may receive in SNAP benefits each month and how to apply for them.

SNAP has many rules. This calculator covers most of the rules, but not all of them. In special situations, you may be eligible for a different amount than the calculator tells you.

The following households may want to follow up with Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline after completing the calculator:

  • Households with mixed immigration status
  • Households with one or more college students
  • Households receiving rental income or income from boarders
  • Persons living in a group home
  • Households with one or more persons on strike
  • School workers and seasonal workers.

» Launch the SNAP Calculator and check your eligibility for SNAP benefits.

Only the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) can make the final decision about your SNAP benefits.
